God\u2019s plan has been for family units to be formed due to powerful biological and social considerations, with the key players in these configurations caring for one another physically, emotionally, and spiritually over the years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Therefore, as R. Akiva famously said about Rachel, his wife: (Ketubot 63a) \u201cMy Torah knowledge <\/span><b>\u2026 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is actually hers,\u201d I can confidently say that whatever my spiritual achievements have been, Joanie has played a substantial role in them. My wife and I have been married for almost 50 years, blessed, <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">b\u2019li \u2018ayin hara<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with four children, and eleven grandchildren, and have many friends and acquaintances.
