The Malbim further adds that the psalmist is asking not for a return to the details of how to do this and that particular commandment, but for a return to the bigger picture &#8211; the bigger path.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is the larger point of the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mitzvot<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the commandments, or belief in God, or being a good person? Reading this verse that concludes the section of the letter of my name, Daniel, I think about the importance of not losing sight of the bigger picture when doing the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mitzvot<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I think of my namesake Daniel from the Bible, who never lost sight of where he came from even as he worked in the royal court.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I bless us all to keep the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>derech<\/em> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mitzvot<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, never losing sight of what\u2019s really important.<\/span><\/p>\n","image":false,"embedded_video":"","video_duration":"","show_fb_comments":true,"credit_media":""},"tile":{"top_caption":"\u05d3","main_caption":"The Big Picture","main_caption_size":"1","sub_caption":"32.
