  1. User\u2019s manual<\/em>. Read the psalm and find the \u201cinstructions\u201d for prayer in the Temple. The various groups that give thanks, the words of those who welcome the celebrants, the gates that open, even the altar.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Laying the cornerstone<\/em>. \u201cThe stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone, <\/span>rosh pinah<\/span><\/em>.\u201d Verse 22 compares Israel to the central building block that connects the walls. The town of Rosh Pinah took this image of something undesirable becoming important, and the ceremony of \u201claying the cornerstone\u201d of a building, preserved the meaning of the act, but moved the stone to the foundations.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The day after<\/em>. Verse 27 instructs: \u201c bind the festal offering (<\/span>isru chag<\/span><\/em>) to the horns of the altar with cords.\u201d From mishnaic times, the term <\/span>isru chag<\/span><\/em> was used as the name of the day after the holiday (on Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot), which binds, as it were, a weekday to the festival and thus adds another day.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. God\u2019s right<\/em>. Even if God has no body, there is a sort of image associated with him, and apparently, he\u2019s right handed: \u201cThe right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD is triumphant!\u201d (verse 16).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","image":{"ID":86314,"id":86314,"title":"Points to
