  1. Same author?<\/em> There are some deep similarities between this psalm and the previous one (111). Perhaps they were written by the same person? What do you think?<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Echoes of Ps 1<\/em>. The opening \u201cHappy is the man\u201d and the end \u201cThe desire of the wicked shall come to nothing\u201d are very similar to Ps. 1 \u201cHappy is the man\u2026 the way of the wicked is doomed.\u201d What about what comes in between? Compare the two psalms and discover.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The good is certain and stable<\/em>. The world of those who do good in the psalm is very safe and stable. Both in their internal lived experience, and in their place in the world \u201cHe shall never be shaken; the beneficent man will be remembered forever\u201d (verse 6). The psalm is the place to celebrate this approach, not to challenge or unravel it.
