Where does the soul dwell?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the void between molecules;<\/span>
\n<\/span> In the vacuum between atom and atom;<\/span><\/p>\n

In the emptiness between electrons\u2019 orbits;<\/span>
\n<\/span> In the gap between particle and wave;<\/span><\/p>\n

In the sliver between matter and energy;<\/span>
\n<\/span> In the crack between time and space;<\/span><\/p>\n

The way God dwells in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where does the soul hide?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the innermost chambers<\/span>
\n<\/span> Of every human cell;<\/span><\/p>\n

In the folds that line every gene,<\/span>
\n<\/span> Clinging to the chromosomes\u2019 shadows;<\/span><\/p>\n

In the echo of every heart-beat,<\/span>
\n<\/span> Whispering behind every breath;<\/span><\/p>\n

The way God hides in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where is the soul heard?<\/span><\/p>\n

In the soprano of compassionate deeds,<\/span>
\n<\/span>When one person helps another;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the tenor of wise words,<\/span>
\n<\/span>When a person speaks with kindness;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In the bass of empathy and caring,<\/span>
\n<\/span>When a person gives, and experiences, love.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> The way God is heard in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

For as the soul fills, but encompasses, the body,<\/span>
\n<\/span> so does God fill, yet encompass, the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the soul is one in the body,<\/span>
\n<\/span> so is God one in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the soul sustains the body,<\/span>
\n<\/span> so does God sustain the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the soul sees all, yet is unseen,<\/span>
\n<\/span> so does God see all, yet remain unseen.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the soul is pure and hallowed in the body,<\/span>
\n<\/span> so is God pure and hallowed in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hush!\u00a0 In God\u2019s presence, how the soul quivers;<\/span>
\n<\/span>In God\u2019s presence, how the soul bows.<\/span><\/p>\n
