\nKnock, knock, are You hiding, God? I’ve been trying
\nTo find You, but I don’t succeed. Knock, knock,
\nI can’t unlatch Your gate, God; did You lock
\nIt when I closed my ears and started lying,
\nPretending that I didn’t hear You crying
\nOut my name? Or afterwards, did the rock
\nThey threw at me become a stumbling-block
\nWhich I cannot surmount, leaving me sighing?<\/p>\n

Knock, knock, are You hiding, God? Are there keys
\nYou made to open gates which I should seek
\nBeneath those bushes or behind that tree?
\nCome out, come out, wherever You are, please
\nReveal Your hiding-place to me; I’m weak
