  1. Psalm of thanksgiving<\/em>. According to the heading, the psalm is meant to accompany the thanksgiving offering, a free-will sacrifice. If you want to acquaint yourself with the details of this act, turn back 570 chapters to Leviticus 7.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Joy<\/em>. There\u2019s less pure joy in psalms, then there is sin, suffering, and other reasons to petition God. This psalm says in 5 short verses that it is indeed possible to celebrate: \u201cworship the LORD in gladness; come into His presence with shouts of joy….Enter His gates with praise, His courts with acclamation.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Two languages<\/em>. From the Tanach til today, serving God takes place in two \u201clanguages.\u201d One is the language of joy and love, and the other is the language of fear, and awe. Even just in Psalms we have already seen: \u201cServe the LORD in awe; tremble with fright\u201d (Ps. 2: 11).<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Closing the circle<\/em>. Five chapters ago Ps 95 invited us to \u201cCome, let us sing joyously to the LORD, raise a shout for our rock and deliverer; let us come into His presence with praise; let us raise a shout for Him in song! For the LORD is a great God, the great king of all divine beings.\u201d Ps 95 opened a series of psalms of praise for the kingship of God. This series comes to an end with Ps 100, which sounds like the opening verses: \u201cA psalm for praise. Raise a shout for the LORD, all the earth; worship the LORD in gladness; come into His presence with shouts of joy. Acknowledge that the LORD is God.\u201d Tomorrow is a psalm of a different color.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","image":{"ID":86314,"id":86314,"title":"Points to
