“Know that the Lord He is God, He has made us and we are His, His people and the flock of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His holy name.” (Psalm 100:3-4)<\/p>\n

\nI thank You, God, for giving us this day;
\nIf nothing else, at least today will be
\nThe start of something good, the day we see
\nHow gracious You have been to us, the way
\nYou have escorted us. While people say
\nYour path is hidden, God, I know I’m free
\nTo thank You for the bread You’re giving me,
\nI’m free to seek Your hand, I’m free to pray.<\/p>\n

I thank You, God, for giving us this night,
\nProviding us at twilight with a plate,
\nA tablecloth, a lantern and a true
\nAnd steady fire; despite the dark, the light
\nYour lantern brings has brightened up our fate.
