Psalm 96 has many beautiful poetic elements of repetition. There are two phrases repeated three times each in this Psalm. “Sing to God” is repeated three times in the first two verses and “ascribe to God” is repeated three times in verse 7-8. Both times the repeated phrase appears twice in one verse and then a single time in the next verse. In verses 4 and 5 we have the repetition of “all gods” and “all gods of the nations”.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Verse 6 does not have a repeating phrase but it does have repeated structure- two descriptive elements ascribed to God. “<\/span>beauty and splendor<\/span><\/i> are before Him, <\/span>strength and glory<\/span><\/i> are in His sanctuary.”\u00a0 Verse 11 has a triple thematic repetition: “The heavens will rejoice\/ the earth will exult\/ the sea will roar.” In verse 13 the phrase “when he comes” is repeated followed by “to judge the land” and “to judge mankind with justice”.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","image":{"ID":87563,"id":87563,"title":"ps96-waves ripple pattern
