Above the thunder of the mighty waters, more majestic than the breakers of the sea is the LORD, majestic on high.&#8221; Yet the first two verses do not seem to match. &#8220;The LORD is king, He is robed in grandeur; the LORD is robed, He is girded with strength. The world stands firm; it cannot be shaken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What do robes have to do with the sea? To answer the question we must bring back Friday. Friday is the final day of the week- when merchants return home from their voyages. They travel from the stormy ocean where ships with large sails conquer the storms. The sails billow in the wind like robes. This Psalm is specifically geared to these sailors who witness the power of God every day, and now return home for the Sabbath to
