Psalm 24 for Sunday, Psalm 48 for Monday, Psalm 82 for Tuesday, Psalm 94 for Wednesday, Psalm 81 for Thursday, 93 for Friday, 92 for Shabbat.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interestingly only Psalm 92 actually starts with an introduction noting the day. &#8220;A song for the day of Sabbath.&#8221; The remaining days are merely traditions. What may one expect in a psalm about the Sabbath? Perhaps the psalmist will talk about rest or God&#8217;s creation of the world. Instead this psalm is actually a general song of praise of God, followed by an attack on the wicked, and ending with a praise of the righteous. What does this have to do with the Sabbath?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This psalm seems more like a \u201cmeta-praise\u201d of the Sabbath. A day that allows a person to fully rest; to give up the stresses of the week. On such a day one can look toward God and sing His praises and realize what is right in the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","image":false,"embedded_video":"","video_duration":"","show_fb_comments":true,"credit_media":""},"tile":{"top_caption":"Why This Psalm On Shabbat?","main_caption":"It doesn\u2019t speak about rest or Creation.
