  1. A prayer of Moses, the man of God<\/em>. The heading of the psalm attributes it to \u201cMoses, the man of God,\u201d and calls it a prayer, and not a psalm (<\/span>mizmor<\/span><\/em>). You\u2019re invited to think creatively about what the possible connection might be between the content of the psalm, and the character of Moses.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. \u201cReturn, you mortals!\u201d –<\/em> To where? To dust of course. \u201cUntil you return to the ground\u2014 For from it you were taken. For dust you are, And to dust you shall return\u201d (Gen 3:19).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. To reach \u201cgevurot,\u201d \u201cstrength<\/em>.\u201d Whoever reaches the age of 80, has arrived at \u201cgevurot<\/em>,\u201d the age of strength, or valor – a turn of phrase from verse 10. According to the context it seems that 70 years is the norm – \u201cThe span of our life is seventy years, or, given the strength, eighty years;\u201d but that can be surpassed with special
