  1. Nice to meet you – Ethan the Ezrahite<\/em>. This is the only psalm in the entire book attributed to Ethan the Ezrahite. Who was he? Was he connected to Heman the Ezrahite from the previous psalm? There are those who associate him with a sage mentioned in a list of wise men who wisdom was surpassed by Solomon: \u201cHe was the wisest of all men: [wiser] than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Chalkol, and Darda the sons of Mahol\u201d (1 Kings 5:11). In the Book of Chronicles Ethan and Heman are two of the five sons of Zerach from the tribe of Judah. There\u2019s also a surprise: there\u2019s a statement in the Talmud that says that Ethan is none other than Abraham (Baba Batra 15a).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. The threefold cord<\/em>. The three parts of the psalm are very different from one another. But the thread that connects them all is quite convincing. The Creator (part 1) chose the House of David forever (part 2), and where is he and that covenant now? (part 3).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Echoes of Nathan\u2019s prophecy<\/em>. 386 chapters ago (2 Sam. 7) we read very similar things in the prophecy of Nathan, to those that appear here in part 2 (verses 20-38) about the covenant with the House of David. Suggestion: go back, read and compare.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. When, exactly?<\/em> The third part of the psalm (verses 39-52) describes a situation of the loss of the kingship of the House of David, and the enemies destruction of the kingdom. This is what happened in the destruction of the Kingdom of Judah in\u00a0 in 586 BCE.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Book Three – The End<\/em>. Verse 53 concludes the third book of psalms, of five. It includes psalms 73 to 89. The closing verse is the blessing: \u201cBlessed is the LORD forever; Amen and Amen.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","image":{"ID":86314,"id":86314,"title":"Points to
