This verse recalls the final curse turned blessing of Balaam in Numbers 24:5: &#8220;How fair are your tents Jacob Your dwelling places, O Israel?&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Balaam&#8217;s blessing was focused on the nation of Israel as they lay below him spread out across the desert. The midrash explains that Balaam was awed by how each tent&#8217;s doorway would not face that of its neighbor showing how the people were modest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The story of Balaam also follows the story of Korach himself in Numbers. It is fitting that the sons of Korach would draft one of their Psalms referencing this story. Korach attempted to usurp the leadership of Moses, and Balaam, by decree of his benefactor Balak, sought to undermine the leadership of God over his people. In the end, Balaam&#8217;s attempted curse turns into a blessing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here as well the sons of Korach wish that the curse bestowed on their forefather is now turned into a blessing by his progeny.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","image":{"ID":48144,"id":48144,"title":"Num24-Balak and
