Do it!\r\n\r\n","content":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the start of the book of Genesis, the great rabbinic commentator Rashi wonders why the Bible starts with Creation. If the purpose is to discuss the history of the Israelites, then it should have started with the first commandment given to the nation- sanctify the new moon every month. In Exodus 12, God commands the young nation to sanctify the new moon every month. In verse 4 of our psalm, Asaph references this rite: \u201cBlow the shofar on Rosh Chodesh at the appointed time for our feast day.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a time of turmoil Asaph is castigating the people to get back to basics. Observe the very first commandment that God gave to us.
