\nA footprint stamped on water can’t be traced,
\nThe way a storm’s relentless gales erased
\nThe prayers we poured into the air the day
\nA tidal wave engulfed Your island’s bay,
\nIts harbor and its docks. The seas effaced
\nYour footsteps as belief was interlaced
\nWith doubt, like wheat with straw or rye with hay.<\/p>\n

Your footsteps are unknown, but we have heard
\nThe princess sing, and in her songs, the world
\nIs less chaotic than the seas aver.
\nAlthough Your footsteps are unknown, Your word
\nIs not unknown, but like a sail unfurled,
\nMay catch the wind to aid a voyager.
