  1. \u201cTo You silence is praise.\u201d<\/em> What is the connection between silence and praise? Is this the situation where there are simply no words to express great praise? Or is this a praiseworthy human quality, to accept bad tidings along with good, as Aaron did on the death of his sons 532 chapters ago \u201cAnd Aaron was silent\u201d (Lev. 10)?   2. Prayer for rain<\/em>. Verses 10-14 vividly describe how when there is enough rain, the whole world is happy. There are those who believe that this psalm may have functioned as a prayer when the rains were lacking: please \u201cit is You who forgive our iniquities\u201d and send rain!<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. A good year<\/em>. A good year is one with a lot of rain. For water is life, and through them do \u201cYou crown the year with Your bounty\u201d (verse 12).<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Happy in the covenant<\/em>. Verse 5 – \u201cHappy is the man You choose and bring near to dwell in Your courts\u201d is part of the circumcision (brit mila) ceremony.
