\nTired from playing, my grandson rests his head
\nUpon my shoulders, as I hug the child
\nAnd pat his back; his disposition mild,
\nMy grandson says nothing, but sleeps instead.
\nAmidst his sleep, he laughs; as if this bed
\nOf shoulders had transformed, or reconciled,
\nHis ragged nightmares, ill-cut, torn and wild,
\nTo well-sewn dreams that gleam with golden thread.<\/p>\n

O Lord, do You agree to let me rest
\nMy head upon Your steadfast shoulders, too?
\nDo You agree to hold me and embrace
\nMe as You stroke my hair and face, to nest
\nMe in the cradle of Your arms? O You
