\nWhat kind of man am I, O Lord? What sort
\nOf man allows himself to hide within
\nHis shadow’s shadow, snared and scarred by sin,
\nHis face encased by masks his guilt has wrought?
\nWhat kind of life do I lead, O Lord, fraught
\nWith sin’s disease? I scrape my leper’s skin
\nWith broken shards and crawl on daggers in
\nDespair, Your name ignored, Your face unsought.<\/p>\n

What kind of words are said, O Lord, when grief
\nAnd shame conceal my face behind a screen
\nNo hand can pull aside? Though sin now slays
\nMy sight and hearing, let me taste belief
\nAnd sip Your wine when You cannot be seen;
\nOpen my lips \u2014 my mouth will tell Your
