There is also one verse that appears in a well known prayer- the prayer for the Israel Defense Forces. However, there is one key difference. Verse 4: &#8220;He subdues people under us, and nations under our feet.&#8221; In the prayer for the IDF: &#8220;May God subdue our enemies under them, and may he grant them the crown of victory.&#8221;\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The key change of the word from &#8220;subduing people&#8221; to &#8220;subduing our enemies&#8221; speaks to the role of the IDF as a defensive army. Finally, while the second half of the verse in the psalm doubles down on defeating the enemy, the prayer for the IDF turns positive, asking God to grant a crown of
