This psalm lists as its author the sons of Korah.\u00a0 Korah led a rebellion against Moses and Aaron&#8217;s leadership in the wilderness. As a punishment, Korah and his cohorts were swallowed up in an earthquake. It seems as if the sons of Korah were saved, and wrote several psalms.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Looking at the structure of this psalm, we see it comprises 12 verses. The number twelve corresponds to the 12 tribes of Israel. The whole purpose of Korah&#8217;s rebellion was to undermine Moses and the leadership structure of the twelve tribes of Israel. By structuring their initial psalm with twelve verses, the sons of Korah use the structure to convey the message within. In distinction from their father, they believe and support the structure and leadership of
