The poetic structure used in this chapter mimics the meaning of the words with the theme. This is apparent from the opening verse where David provides a parallel structure, taking one word in Hebrew and showing it in both possessive form and declarative form. &#8220;Strive with those who strive against me, battle those who battle me.&#8221; In Hebrew, this comes across using six simple words. &#8220;<\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Riva et Rivai, Lecham et Lechamai<\/span><\/em><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">David masterfully manipulates Hebrew grammar in a simple way to convey a very deep and very powerful message. It is as if he teaches the reader that excessive prose is not needed to pray to God.
