In verses 8 and 9, David cries out to God &#8220;when you concealed your presence I was terrified, to you God I called and my Master I beseeched.&#8221; Despite his abject fear when God seemed to be far away, David still prayed to God for assistance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Centuries later, Isaiah references these two verses. In Isaiah 64:3-5, the prophet laments that the people of Israel have been detestable to God. As a result He has hidden His face from them. But unlike King David who persevered through the hidden face of God, the people of Israel do not. Isaiah complains that &#8220;no one invokes Your name, Rouses himself to cling to You. For You have hidden Your face from us, And made us melt because of our iniquities.&#8221;\u00a0 David was able to persevere, but the people of Israel need to see God apparent in their lives in order to pray to him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The lesson of Psalm 30 is evident. One must always turn to God, in good times, and in bad. That is how one shows true commitment to God.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","image":{"ID":82021,"id":82021,"title":"ps30-hidden
