  1. Who are the bad guys<\/em>? The hypocrites: \u201cevildoers who profess goodwill toward their fellows while malice is in their heart\u201d (verse 3).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Who else?<\/em> The ones who don\u2019t pay attention: \u201cFor they do not consider the LORD\u2019s deeds, the work of His hands\u201d (verse 5).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. TIA?<\/em> The psalm which begins with \u201cListen to my plea for mercy\u201d includes the thanks: \u201cBlessed is the LORD, for He listens to my plea for mercy\u201d (verse 6). Is that meant to express thanks after time has passed and God has already responded. Or is it confidence that his prayer will indeed be heard? Perhaps a form of autosuggestion? What do you think?<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. (Not) Sitting alone in the dark<\/em>. Also not alone in the light. As in many other psalms, the psalmist connects his own personal thanks and praise to the whole, and also prays for them: \u201cDeliver and bless Your very own people; tend them and sustain them
