  1. Say thank you<\/em>! In the previous psalm (20), we heard a prayer for the success of the king, especially in a war against his enemies. This psalm is a song of thanksgiving for a success of this sort.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. A literary insight. <\/em>How can we identify the different parts of the psalm? One way is to look at how the speaker changes. In today\u2019s psalm, for instance, in the first part, God is referred to in the second person (You) and the king is the third person (he), and in the second part of the psalm – it is the opposite.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Royal wishes<\/em>. What are the heart\u2019s desires of the king in verses 3-7 of the psalm?
