  1. What\u2019s the connection<\/em>? Is it \u201cthe light of the sun\u201d as compared with \u201cthe light of Torah?\u201d A sort of answer to pagan sun worship? The two aspects of God\u2019s appearance in the world? Or is this a case of two psalms that were stuck together in the same chapter? You can find all these interpretations and more in the analyses of commentators and scholars.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n

  3. Sevenses<\/em>. In the second half of the psalm, God\u2019s name appears seven times. And seven is never for no reason. This is the way biblical poetry communicates a vision of perfection.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. \u201cWho can be aware of errors?\u201d<\/em> The Torah is good, and people try to be. The psalmist tries with all his heart. But nobody\u2019s perfect. So sorry in advance: \u201cWho can be aware of errors? Clear me of unperceived guilt\u201d (verse 13).<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. A closing prayer<\/em>. \u201cMay the words of my mouth and the prayer of my heart be acceptable to You, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer\u201d (verse
