” \u2026 incline Your ear unto me, hear my speech.” (Psalm 17:6)<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

I cannot leave my bed without a prayer.<\/span>
\n<\/span>cannot walk across the room without <\/span>
\n<\/span>a prayer. I cannot even think about<\/span>
\n<\/span>another night without a prayer. But dare <\/span>
\n<\/span>I pray? How can I pray when everywhere <\/span>
\n<\/span>I turn, it seems as if my shadows doubt <\/span>
\n<\/span>the need to pray, as if my shadows shout <\/span>
\n<\/span>in ancient Greek You neither see nor hear.<\/span><\/p>\n

So can I write this prayer to You, my God?<\/span>
\n<\/span>I’ve found some paper and a ball-point pen.<\/span>
\n<\/span>And words \u2014 these very simple words that came <\/span>
\n<\/span>to me when dreaming that I pray. How odd <\/span>
\n<\/span>it is, to wake up from a dream again <\/span>
\n<\/span>and pray to You, the Name without a
