Though the prevalent meaning of <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">basar<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is \u201cflesh,\u201d it does appear frequently in Leviticus in the sense of \u201cbody.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From: Robert Alter, <em>The Hebrew Bible<\/em>, vol. 3: Writings, W.
