Today, with the beginning of our study of Ketuvim<\/em>,\u00a0 Writings, the third part of TaNaKH,\u00a0<\/strong>we embark upon learning perhaps the most influential and the most meaning-full book of the canon \u2013\u00a0Tehillim<\/em>, the Psalms. There is no other book of Tanakh <\/em>that has so influenced our liturgy, has so shaped our spiritual experience, and has influenced generations of Jewish (and other) poets, artists, and musicians.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And starting today we will be added new voices and reflections to the canon of interpretation. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We want to hear your voice. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Joy, sadness, fear, hope, exultation, angst, gratitude, mourning, despair, optimism. \u00a0<\/p>\n

All these and more: how do you connect? What have these literary masterpieces meant to you? What could they mean in these times?\u00a0<\/p>\n

As always, we invite your reflections, interpretations, applications, inspirations. What would you like to share about the literary insights, spiritual messages, emotional expressions that the Psalms represent?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

You don’t need to be a Bible scholar to write for 929. We aren’t looking for scholarly analysis of ancient Near Eastern texts. Our tag line is “Age-Old Text, New Perspectives.” And so we want to hear yours.\u00a0<\/p>\n
