When Moses asks Pharaoh to let the Jews go to the desert to pray to God, he asks for them to go for three days (Exodus 5:3).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2) In Jonah&#8217;s prayer to God he describes himself as being enveloped by the sea, just as the Egyptians are enveloped by the sea following the splitting of the sea in Exodus 14.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3) God has the fish spit Jonah out onto the &#8220;dry land&#8221;- in Hebrew &#8220;<em>yabasha<\/em>&#8220;. In Exodus 14:29, while the Egyptians are cast into the sea, the Israelites walk on dry land- also using the Hebrew word &#8220;<em>yabasha<\/em>.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4) Jonah references prayer at the Temple.
