  1. A change in public opinion<\/em>. Jeremiah expresses things that will be said in the future, which are very different from what\u2019s being said today. The future call of the watchmen in Samaria to go up to Jerusalem (v. 6), the amazement of the nations at the redemption (v. 10), the blessing of those returning to Judah (v. 23), and an old aphorism that is no longer relevant (v. 29-30).<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Maiden Israel<\/em>. Even the nickname says something about the nature of\u00a0 the redemption. Not a widow, or abandoned, or a suffering wife, but a young woman with her whole life ahead of her (v. 4).<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Again and again and again<\/em>. 3 positive messages in verses 4-5 begin with the word \u201cagain\u201d (<\/span>\u2018od<\/span><\/i>), and communicate the idea that the good will arrive, and only increase, more and more.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. A woman courts a man<\/em> (verse 22). This is also one of the changes that the redemption will bring to the world. Does this imply a change in the relations between the sexes? Or is it a metaphor for the repentance of the people and their seeking God? There is the <\/span>peshat<\/span><\/i>, the literal, contextual meaning, and there are many interpretations. Worth looking into.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Sweet prophecy<\/em>. Finally, a little satisfaction for the prophet. He shares this moment with us (v. 26).<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. The dedication<\/em>. The riddle of the contradictions in the dedication of the prophet is solved once again. Jeremiah\u2019s mission was defined in Chapter 1 as \u201cSee, I appoint you this day Over nations and kingdoms: To uproot and to pull down, To destroy and to overthrow, To build and to plant\u201d (1:10). The prophecy in verse 28 explains that these are two different periods: destruction, and then building.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","image":{"ID":86314,"id":86314,"title":"Points to
