The City of the Sun it shall be said of one of them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Masoretic Text reads \u201cthe City of Destruction,\u201d <em>\u2018<\/em><\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ir heres<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>, <\/em>but some Hebrew manuscripts as well as several ancient translations read instead, more plausibly, \u2018<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ir \u1e25eres<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cthe City of the Sun,\u201d which is probably the Egyptian Heliopolis [The JPS translation uses the transliteration: the city of Heres &#8211; Ed.].
