For my strength and my power is Yah, and He became my deliverance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This translation follows the scholarly consensus that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">zimrah<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> means \u201cpower\u201d or \u201cmight\u201d and is a homonym for the more common word that means \u201csong\u201d or \u201chymn\u201d. It might be said, however, that in thanksgiving psalms the root <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">z-m-r<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which appears quite frequently, always has the sense of song.
