Their message? They spoke truth to power, they admonished the people, they were a moral voice in a society that often lost its social and ethical bearings.<\/p>\n<p>They also comforted the people during times of catastrophe, and provided hope and inspiration to help individuals, and the entire society, strive to be its best self, to return to a vision and covenant that had guided them since leaving slavery for freedom in a new land.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are asking you now: Who are those people in our lives and in our society today?
