Even after we have said that \u201cOn Rosh Hashanah it is written and on Yom Kippur it is sealed \u2026 who will live and who will die\u201d, we still go on to say, \u201cBut teshuvah, prayer and charity avert the evil of the decree.\u201d <br \/>\nThere is no sentence against which we cannot appeal. There is no fate we cannot change, no prediction we cannot defy.
