He watched the girl, Tamar,<\/span>
\n<\/span>enter Amnon\u2019s home.<\/span>
\n<\/span>He knew the plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He obeyed Amnon\u2019s command to clear out; he left,<\/span>
\n<\/span>with one lingering glance at the terrified girl.<\/span>

And afterward, when his master Amnon<\/span>
\n<\/span>commanded him to remove<\/span>
\n<\/span>the distraught, disheveled girl;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

to send her out into the street<\/span>
\n<\/span>and bolt the door behind her,<\/span>
\n<\/span>he did as he was told\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

with eyes cast down<\/span>
\n<\/span>and shame squeezing his heart.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Because he\u2019d known the plan.<\/span><\/p>\n
