  1. Kiryat Ye\u2019arim<\/span><\/i>. The Ark finds a resting place in Kiryat Ye\u2019arim, known to us from Joshua as a Hivite city, one of the settlements of the Gibeonites.Was it already a Hebrew city by now? Or rather, did its status as a city of proselytes give it an advantage as a place to park the Ark, which has proven to be a risky venture.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Samuel is one thing, and the Ark another<\/span><\/i>. Samuel has served in holiness since his boyhood, and was raised to his sacramental duties: he builds altars, offers sacrifices, and even makes a libation offering. But all this has nothing to do with the ark.<\/span><\/li>\n
