  1. After the death of Joshua, the Children of Israel seem very concerned with finding a pragmatic military leader, rather than seeking a long term stable leader like Joshua and Moses. What motivates them to make that choice?<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Why doesn\u2019t Joshua appoint a new leader before he dies? How does this choice affect the nation going forward?<\/span><\/li>\n
