Sure<\/span>
\n<\/span>When you hear “Jericho”<\/span>
\n<\/span>You think: Horns.<\/span>
\n<\/span>But listen closer<\/span>
\n<\/span>For in silence<\/span>
\n<\/span>Born<\/span>
\n<\/span>A victory —<\/span>
\n<\/span>A meticulous dance<\/span>
\n<\/span>Blasts of silence<\/span>
\n<\/span>A priestly prance;<\/span>
\n<\/span>Round six times<\/span>
\n<\/span>In six days’ time<\/span>
\n<\/span>Only horns’ cries heard<\/span>
\n<\/span>Not clamor or chime<\/span>
\n<\/span>Not voice nor shout<\/span>
\n<\/span>To God’s rules: Adhere!<\/span>
\n<\/span>And dare not flout!<\/span>
\n<\/span>Direction’s clear<\/span>
\n<\/span>Instead, to unnerve,<\/span>
\n<\/span>A quiet offense<\/span>
\n<\/span>Deafens a city’s <\/span>
\n<\/span>Walled defense. <\/span><\/p>\n

A tension–<\/span>
\n<\/span>A Battle of Wills round walls<\/span>
\n<\/span>Six times around, a people stalls:<\/span>
\n<\/span>At last: Day Seven!<\/span>
\n<\/span>Like a bride<\/span>
\n<\/span>Seven circuits–<\/span>
\n<\/span>Then finally:<\/span>
\n<\/span>The people cried!<\/span>
\n<\/span>A sabbath, restless<\/span>
\n<\/span>Holy work to do<\/span>
\n<\/span>A conquering promise<\/span>
\n<\/span>If they follow through:<\/span>
\n<\/span>The battle plan of God. <\/span><\/p>\n

Not shiny: Dull<\/span>
\n<\/span>Not trumpets: Rams<\/span>
\n<\/span>No need to ram–<\/span>
\n<\/span>Walls sink to land<\/span>
\n<\/span>Destruction wrought<\/span>
\n<\/span>Raw, unbuilt<\/span>
\n<\/span>Fearful, festered <\/span>
\n<\/span>Walled pride spilt<\/span>
\n<\/span>Mercy: None<\/span>
\n<\/span>— Well, just for one<\/span>
\n<\/span>The walls, no match<\/span>
\n<\/span>For the Divine plan spun<\/span>
\n<\/span>The fires catch<\/span>
\n<\/span>It has begun but <\/span>
\n<\/span>Spoils: Spoilt <\/span>
\n<\/span>A warning hums<\/span>
\n<\/span>Hope lies hanging<\/span>
\n<\/span>The future thrums<\/span>
\n<\/span>First battle fought<\/span>
\n<\/span>Adherence, won?<\/span>
\n<\/span>But the true land battles<\/span>
\n<\/span>Have just begun:<\/span>
\n<\/span>The fallibility of Man.<\/span><\/p>\n
