“No one misbegotten \u2014 a <\/span>mamzer<\/span><\/em> \u2014 may be admitted into the congregation of the Lord; even unto the tenth generation none of his descendants may be admitted into the congregation of the Lord.” (Deuteronomy 23:3)<\/span><\/p>\n

May it be Your will<\/span>
\n<\/span>That the lemon be as worthy as the <\/span>etrog<\/span><\/em>: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he not be squeezed or sliced<\/span>
\n<\/span>Or rejected \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he be allowed to join the congregation<\/span>
\n<\/span>Of the willow, myrtle and <\/span>lulav<\/span><\/em> \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he be treasured<\/span>
\n<\/span>Willingly, in merit, in his own right \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he may be placed in a box<\/span>
\n<\/span>Stamped kosher \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That when he is lifted, he may be blessed<\/span>
\n<\/span>In the name of God \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he may display his splendor without shame<\/span>
\n<\/span>And send forth his fragrance without fear \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he may wear his stem on his head<\/span>
\n<\/span>Like an embroidered green <\/span>kippah<\/span><\/i> \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That he raise his eyes to heaven<\/span>
\n<\/span>And never fall \u2014 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

May it be Your will,<\/span>
\n<\/span>HaShem<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
