Why do we play<\/span>
\n<\/span>With the human heart<\/span>
\n<\/span>As if it were a ball? <\/span><\/p>\n

Is life basketball?<\/span>
\n<\/span>So many take the heart<\/span>
\n<\/span>And dribble it, <\/span><\/p>\n

Then shoot it<\/span>
\n<\/span>Into a loop,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Gaining two points, they think.<\/span><\/p>\n

Is life soccer?<\/span>
\n<\/span>So many take someone else\u2019s heart<\/span>
\n<\/span>And kick it.<\/span><\/p>\n

If they kick hard enough,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Often enough,<\/span>
\n<\/span>They\u2019ll score a goal, they think. <\/span><\/p>\n

Is life football?<\/span>
\n<\/span>They throw the elongated heart<\/span>
\n<\/span>One to another, hoping for a touchdown;<\/span><\/p>\n

But the heart is intercepted,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Jumped upon,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Squashed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Is life baseball?<\/span>
\n<\/span>They hit the heart hard<\/span>
\n<\/span>With a bat,<\/span><\/p>\n

Dreaming of a home-run,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Until it is caught<\/span>
\n<\/span>Way out in left field. <\/span><\/p>\n

Why do we play \u201ccatch\u201d with the human heart?<\/span>
\n<\/span>Why don\u2019t we cradle it,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Embrace it? <\/span><\/p>\n

What are the rules of the game<\/span>
\n<\/span>That You, O Lord,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Want us to play? <\/span><\/p>\n

Will You help me learn<\/span>
\n<\/span>How not to play falsely,<\/span>
\n<\/span>How not to make a foul? <\/span><\/p>\n

Will You help me learn<\/span>
\n<\/span>To hold the heart correctly,<\/span>
\n<\/span>In order to score in Your game? <\/span><\/p>\n

Teach me Your rules;<\/span>
\n<\/span>Train me,<\/span>
