The play will soon begin \u2014 <\/span>eleven<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>ten<\/span><\/i>,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Nine<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>eight<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>seven<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>six <\/span><\/i>\u2014 soon the chatter dies,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Quite soon you’ll stand upon the stage, all eyes<\/span>
\n<\/span>On you alone. You read the script again<\/span>
\n<\/span>In hope you won’t forget its wording when<\/span>
\n<\/span>The spotlight shines \u2014 <\/span>five<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>four<\/span><\/i> \u2014 it is unwise <\/span>
\n<\/span>To worry, but your costume can’t disguise<\/span>
\n<\/span>Your trembling, so you say a prayer, amen. <\/span><\/p>\n

A shofar blows. \u00a0The curtains rise. \u00a0Within<\/span>
\n<\/span>The confines of a narrow stage, you go<\/span>
\n<\/span>To say your lines the best you can. The sun<\/span>
\n<\/span>And moon, the day, the night, are actors in<\/span>
\n<\/span>The drama of your life \u2014 <\/span>three<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>two<\/span><\/i> \u2014 you know<\/span>
