Sometimes in the evening we come<\/span>
\n<\/span>with tambourine or drum<\/span>
\n<\/span>and gather near the center of the camp<\/span>
\n<\/span>and sing songs of yearning,<\/span>
\n<\/span>celebrating our new freedom. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the center of our circle,<\/span>
\n<\/span>with a colorful wrap around her shoulders,<\/span>
\n<\/span>and her deep eyes dancing from face to face,<\/span>
\n<\/span>Miriam tells stories of our fathers,<\/span>
\n<\/span>of the promise that awaits. <\/span><\/p>\n

Transfixed, we sit on a woven mat<\/span>
\n<\/span>spread across the sands, our eyes<\/span>
\n<\/span>on the prophetess, her voice<\/span>
\n<\/span>singing, filling our mind<\/span>
\n<\/span>as we listen to the magic of her words.<\/span><\/p>\n
