When I and Father go to pray,<\/span>
\n<\/span>We walk at night and not by day,<\/span>
\n<\/span>For I don\u2019t like the noonday sun<\/span>
\n<\/span>That burns so hot I cannot play. <\/span><\/p>\n

For I don\u2019t like the noonday sun,<\/span>
\n<\/span>And I am Father\u2019s precious one;<\/span>
\n<\/span>And all my life, my father\u2019s tried<\/span>
\n<\/span>To pamper me, his favorite son. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>To wipe my tears when I have cried,<\/span>
\n<\/span>To raise me high if I should fall,<\/span>
\n<\/span>While never has my father lied. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Yet God loves Father even more<\/span>
\n<\/span>When Father tries to hear God\u2019s call. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>But Father holds my hand so tight,<\/span>
\n<\/span>A talon\u2019s grasp, or clasp by claw. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>To shield me from my fears of night.<\/span>
\n<\/span>So on we walk, and barely talk<\/span>
\n<\/span>On barren hills in white moon-light. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>A little lamb upon that hill<\/span>
\n<\/span>That tried to flee a circling hawk. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>Yet if he\u2019s killed, is that God\u2019s will?<\/span>
\n<\/span>But Father says it\u2019s time to rest<\/span>
\n<\/span>And gaze at stars that twinkle still. <\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>For Father\u2019s always loved me best.<\/span>
\n<\/span>And when I\u2019m tired, we stop to sleep;<\/span>
\n<\/span>Then Father builds the softest nest. <\/span><\/p>\n
