Undoubtedly, the hero of Exodus \u2013 even without counting the number of his appearances in the book \u2013 is Moses. It is his book. The name of this prophet of prophets is mentioned 290 times, no less, over the course of the book.<\/p>\n<p>Yes \u2013 but who will get the award for best supporting actor? There is a neck-and-neck race for the runner up, that ends up being a photo finish. Aaron, the brother by his side, is named 116 times, only one time more than the perfect villain of the book: Pharaoh, with 115 mentions. If you wish, one more small, symbolic victory for the good guys. There are other characters in the story, of course, but they can&#8217;t touch the accomplishments of those three, whoar ethe ones who run the entire show. On the other hand, &#8220;&#8216;Am Yisrael,&#8221; the people of Israel,&#8221; appear 180 times.<\/p>\n<p>And what about objects or things, you will ask? The Nile stands out, appearing 27 times, but disappears after the Exodus. After that, it is Moses&#8217; staff, with 14 appearances, some of which split the Sea of Reeds and accompany the people on the long road to Canaan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Ariel
