In Exodus 34: 29, it states \u201cMoses came down from Mount Sinai. And as Moses came down from the mountain bearing the two tables of the Pact, Moses was not aware that the skin of his face was radiant.\u201d Moses had changed through his interaction with God but he did not notice. We go on to read in verses 34-35, \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cwhenever Moses went in before the LORD to speak with Him, he would leave the veil off until he came out; and when he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded, the Israelites would see how radiant the skin of Moses\u2019 face was.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moses<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was impacted by his relationship with God, and it was seen in a physical manner not from within but from the outside, from others. Some of the deepest transformations we go through as humans are ones that can be difficult to recognize within ourselves. But this serves as just another reminder that even personal transformation is never done in complete solitude. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am reminded of this reality during this time of grief. It might be simplistic but we simply are better when together. \u00a0And one reason for that is because people see things in us we cannot see in ourselves. In times of mass tragedy, the forces that bring this moment to be want to leave us isolated. And a challenge for us is to not to give into that temptation, however tempting it may be. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is power in the vulnerability of letting someone witness your transformation, there is power in recognizing the truth that you are never alone; someone is always paying attention just enough to see the radiation of the sun on your face, however small it might be sneaking in
