Closer, yet closer,
\n<\/span>Pull us closer to Your name,
\n<\/span>Closer to its height.<\/span><\/p>\n

We grope in darkness
\n<\/span>And stumble in the blackness,
\n<\/span>Surrounded by night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond perception,
\n<\/span>The letters of Your name shine,
\n<\/span>Distant, star-like, bright.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yet we sense their blaze,
\n<\/span>Their glowing sparks above us,
\n<\/span>Their power, their might.<\/span><\/p>\n

Teach us how to read;
\n<\/span>Our lips will call out Your name,
\n<\/span>Our fingers will write.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite our mistakes
\n<\/span>And the shadows of our deeds,
\n<\/span>Enhance now our sight.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite our blindness
\n<\/span>And our stubborn, closed eyelids,
\n<\/span>Let us see Your
