In the market,
\n<\/span>Past the alley of the shoe-makers,
\n<\/span>At the stall of the book-sellers,
\n<\/span>I perused and browsed
\n<\/span>Until I came across
\n<\/span>A Book<\/span><\/p>\n

Whose pages<\/span><\/p>\n

spread out like tablecloths at a banquet,
\n<\/span>stretched like prophets\u2019 mantles,
\n<\/span>glided like eagle-wings;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Whose sentences<\/span><\/p>\n

blossomed like fields of red anemones,
\n<\/span>swam like schools of dolphins,
\n<\/span>rose like flocks of sparrows;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Whose letters<\/span><\/p>\n

were jewels that adorned a palace of pearl,
\n<\/span>hewn stones in a fortress-wall,
\n<\/span>bricks which built a skyscraper.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

I entered the Book<\/span><\/p>\n

whose pages, sentences and letters surrounded me
\n<\/span>like hosts of guardian angels,<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

And I \u2014
\n<\/span>Overwhelmed by the light \u2014
\n<\/span>Discovered<\/span><\/p>\n

the Book was a market<\/span><\/p>\n

whose stalls were verses,
\n<\/span>whose wares were
