Sinai was all in smoke, because the Lord had descended upon it in fire; its smoke ascended like a furnace\u2019s smoke, and the entire mountain trembled greatly. \u00a0The voice of the <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shofar<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> then grew louder and louder \u2026\u201d (Exodus 19:18-19)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\">Abraham first heard the <em>Shofar <\/em>blow<br \/>\nAfter he bound his son, and Isaac cried<br \/>\nIn fear of God; an angel prophesied<br \/>\nTheir sand would stretch beyond the stars\u2019 last glow.<br \/>\nAgain the <em>Shofar <\/em>blew, when there, below<br \/>\nThe fire and smoke which veiled the mountainside,<br \/>\nIsrael stood and listened, terrified,<br \/>\nAs God\u2019s commands, like lava, began to flow.<\/p>\n<p style=\"direction: ltr;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yet one more time this <\/span><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shofar<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be heard:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A shoot from Jesse\u2019s stock shall leaf that day,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A twig from David\u2019s roots shall grant us shade;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then lambs will dwell with wolves; a fledgling bird<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Will glide with hawks; a little child will play<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With hissing snakes \u2014 and none shall be
