Between Abraham our Hebrew forefather, the founder of a new culture and religion, and between Jacob, who founded the Hebrew nation, Isaac is the absent present one in the Bible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It could be that this is the trauma of the founding event of the Akedah, or it could be that we are talking about what defines Isaac\u2019s strength. \u00a0The overriding strength of Isaac our forefather was his depth. In building an infrastructure. In the steadfastness of his position. Thus, he was the only one of our forefathers who never left Canaan. Likewise, he was the one who discovered and dug wells of water with the success of a Texas oil magnate. \u00a0He walks throughout the Negev and digs well after well, wells that turned him into a wealthy man and that drove the Philistines crazy. In the course of his travels, Isaac discovers the well around which the city of Beer Sheva will be built. It would appear that he also realized that prosperity and the test of the family and the nation would \u00a0emerge, strangely enough, from the
